I have been trying to stick to research of issues that are in the Des Moines city council wheelhouse. I have to admit that the circus that is Iowa in the lead up to a Presidential election makes it difficult. If you live in Des Moines and want to take part in an election that is going to directly impact you and in which you will hear civil debate about policy and issues, I ask that you keep your friends and family informed about our city elections this November 5th.
I am running for at large, so that means that anyone with a Des Moines address can choose to vote for me or the others running. I look forward to forums and debate. You can also ask me anything at anytime and I will get back to you when I can. If I don't know an answer I will be honest and do some research. I do not mind. That is what candidates are supposed to do. Presidential candidates have already spent millions in Iowa without much to show for it thus far. I can tell you that while out campaigning we ran into Cory Booker and Tulsi Gabbard and that they both agreed with#legalizedesmoines! We have proven that we can do a lot of campaigning with a little so I ask of you to consider donating to a candidate for city council that you can support if you are able.
